October Report
Over the weekend I played 1/2 6max and 2/4 and made around $100 or so. So definitely a nice ending for a month that started horribly. Unfortunately I didn't finish off the Poker Rewards $150 bonus in time and lost out on that.
So here are my numbers for October:
Profit: $201.32
Bonuses: $195
Total: $396.32
So after starting the month almost $400 in the hole, that feels really good.
Goals for November:
Take 100BB shot and play at 2/4 and 3/6
Finally break the 10k bankroll mark (I'm $50 short)
Win a seat in a $200 or higher tournament.
To answer Chipper's question from his comment the other day:
"How much of a bankroll did you bring with you? Is $200 enough to sit down at most limit tables without feeling short stacked?"
My live bankroll stood around $690 when I went to Vegas. In the first couple of days I lost almost $170 and then had to win it back. So I'd say 500 would be good for a week's trip at the low limits.
On 2/4 up to 4/8 tables, minimum buyin is $40 and some people do buy in for the min. At 2/4 and 3/6 most people buy in with $100. At 4/8, I sat down with $120 and didn't feel short stacked. 15BB is plenty to last a while if you play tight. Many at the table did have $200 in front of them though.
That's about it from here...may the flop be with you!

Nice comeback. I had to battle back from a big hole myself. Almost made it too but dropped a bit last night in an attempt to come all the way back for the month.
Thanks for the reply on the Vegas bankroll. I'll probably bring along about $500. I doubt $200 would last very long due to the variance you can see in the short term. I've yet to play anything larger than $2/$5 (the crap limits we're stuck with in Colorado casinos). The 3/6 or 4/8 sounds like a good challenge. I'll look forward to that.
Grats on nearing your 10K goal. Thats a great milestone. I'm still down below $1k on my self funded poker roll but am determined to break the $1k mark in time for Vegas next year.
Hope to see you over at the ChipTalk tourneys again soon. Q3 starts this week.
