Almost to the final table!

PokerStars Tournament #42106565, No Limit Hold'em
Buy-In: $10.00/$1.00
1613 players
Total Prize Pool: $66570.00
Tournament started - 2007/02/06 - 22:00:00 (ET)

Dear scottwire,

You finished the tournament in 19th place.
A $286.26 award has been credited to your Real Money account.

Dammit I got close but couldn't win my last race. Should I have pushed?

18th place paid $386 so if I wait I may get into that payout

I was really playing for the win

Wildman was super table captain raising every hand so we know he most likely doesn't have a premium. If I'm in a coin flip I have tons of pot equity with the extra money in. Blinds are coming fast...yada yada yada...too tired to open Pokerstove...you make the call...

Even though I knew I would most likely be racing I would still push in that situation with your chipcount. An extra $100 could have been made, but your going for the top echelon of prizes. The extra $100 doesn't really change anything.

When faced with that decision, ya you had to push. A call would have probably not chased out the 1st raiser. I would have been torn between pushing or folding. Yes, folding A-K, why? Take a look at your win rate with AK. If two players ahead of you were raising then ya you knew it was a horse race or perhaps even up against high pairs and you had to hit something to win. I might have waited for a better situation with less aggression ahead of me. But grats on cashing none the less.

Unless I think the 2nd raise meant AA or KK, say 25% or more often, then I would push.

I hate MTTs this big, they're just too hard to win. Too many heartbreaks. That's why I try to stick to the 200 player and under ones. Less time and frustration.
